Lorna Kingsbury-Smith


Lorna graduated from the University of Dundee in 2016 specialising in Natural Hazards, in particular flooding. Lorna then continued from university into industry having worked for a range organisations including, Lead Local Flood Authorities, Environment Agency and Consultancy. 

Lorna decided to further her education by continuing onto a Masters by Research at the University of Leeds. This further develops her passion for "Soft Engineering". 

Research interests

A funded Masters by Research studentship in collaboration with Yorkshire Dales Rivers Trust and Calderdale Metropolitan Borough Council. 

Lorna will be investigating varying land use classification on Natural Flood Management techniques using TOPMODEL.
