Profile
Research interests
I am interested in understanding how energy use and planetary changes affect human health.
For my PhD, I focused on the impacts of air pollution on health in India because the risk is substantial, there is limited understanding of sources and processes causing air pollution, and there is large predicted growth in future air pollutant emissions. The aim was to understand the contribution of different pollution sources to the attributable disease burden from ambient air pollution exposure in India and the effects of future air pollution control pathways. My supervisors were Professor Dominick Spracklen, Dr Stephen Arnold, Professor Alan Williams, Dr Christoph Knote (LMU Germany). I was part of the EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training in Bioenergy.
