Research interests

Current research project in the Neuquén Basin focus on the tectono-sedimentary evolution of a serie of marine rift basins during the syn- to post-rift transition, and factors of control on the development and stratigraphic architecture of different sedimentary systems (turbidite, deltaic, carbonate), based on fieldwork and petrographic analyses, supervised by Professor David HODGSON (University of Leeds), Professor Chris JACKSON (Imperial College of London), Professor Ernesto SCHWARZ (Centre of Geological Investigation (CIG)-CONICET, National University of La Plata) and Professor Jeff PEAKALL (University of Leeds). This project is funded by sponsors of the Lobe2 Joint Industry Project (Equinor, Maersk Oil, Woodside, Total, Neptune Energy, Petrobras, Shell, Anadarko, BP, Chevron, Bayern Gas, VNG Norge, BHP Billiton, DONG Energy, Marathon Oil, and Premier Oil).
