I am a postgraduate researcher working in the Biosphere-Atmosphere Group within ICAS. I'm working on improving understanding of how human-driven land-use change affects the climate.
I am part of the Leeds-York NERC SPHERES Doctoral Training Partnership, while my research is in partnership with the United Bank of Carbon.
My research focuses on how deforestation across the tropics changes the reflectivity of the surface. Using satellite-derived data to identify areas of intense deforestation, I analyse the impact of the changes at the surface using aircraft and satellite measurements, before using radiative transfer codes to assess the response of the climate.
