I am a PhD student at the school of earth and environment at the University of Leeds under the supervision of Dr Bill Murphy and Dr Mark Thomas. My project title is the opening of fractures and the disturbance of rock masses in unloaded slopes.
I finished my master’s degree in Engineering and Environmental Geology from King Abdulaziz University (2014), and I became a lecturer in the same university. As a lecturer, I have had six years of experience teaching at King Abdulaziz University. Also, I had had one year of experience in engineering geology at Saudi geological survey.
My research interests focus on rock engineering geology, engineering rock mechanics, rock slopes stability and rock cut design. Also, engineering geology mapping using GIS.
