Profile
As a transdisciplinary food systems scholar, I weave together knowledge and approaches from a wide variety of fields to better understand all the interactions that influence how we grow, process, distribute, eat, and dispose of food. I am particularly interested in sustainable transitions in food and agriculture, and how people’s visions for a better system meet are constrained by our current realities. In my teaching, I emphasize critical thinking, complexity, real world applications, and effective communication.
