Research interests
I'm researching the effect of hydration on the physical properties of mantle minerals using a variety of computational techniques. Properties examined include partitioning of water between different phases, the effect of water on phase boundaries and the effect of water on rheology. Currently I am examining the effect of water on the rheology of olivine, in particular its effect on vacancy concentrations, diffusion and Peierls stresses.
