Mehri Khosravi

Mehri is a researcher with a strong interest in Environmental Science and climate change. She holds her first Ph.D. in Environmental management from Science and Research University in Tehran and second Ph.D. in Environmental Science from the University of Liverpool. Her first Ph.D. was centered around scenario analysis as a participatory approach in the tourism sector, while her second Ph.D. has focused on environmental consideration in water resources planning. Furthermore, Mehri has nine years of experience as an Environmental Consultant in Iran, working on projects such as Spatial Planning, and preparing Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Reports.

Mehri joined the Sustainability Research Institute in 2019 to work on the climate service for the water sector in China with a focus on climate change projections. This research is an international collaborative project between the UK Met Office and the China Meteorological Administration. The aim of this project was to produce a prototype climate service between climate scientists and water resource managers to support water decision-making in China. She is currently a post-doctoral research fellow in Turning climate-related information into added value for traditional Mediterranean Grape, Olive, and Durum wheat food systems.
