ARCTEX is a cross-disciplinary project that aims to use Earth observation to improve understanding of extreme events in the Arctic and the complex interplay between the atmosphere, ocean, sea ice, and land ice, with cascading effects on global climate systems. ARCTEX we will conduct three case studies in the Atlantic sector of the Arctic Ocean: Austfonna Ice Cap, Flade Isblink Ice Cap, and Nioghalvfjerdsfjorden Glacier/Zachariae Isstrøm, aiming to unravel region-specific processes while also trying to identify Arctic-wide connections and patterns.
