Profile

I am a PhD Student in the School of Food Science and Nutrition, working under the Food AI Laboratory team. I completed my MSci Food Science degree at the University of Leeds in 2025, and am originally from Malaysia.

Research interests

I am part of the Food AI Laboratory team within the School of Food Science and Nutrition. My research is focused on the application of Artifical Intelligence in Lipid Functionality, and involves collecting and analysing datasets of different fat sources, and researching if AI-based models are capable of reccomending fat blends to meet specific criteria (SFC, crystallisation kinetics etc.). My work is funded through a collaboration between Nestlé and the BBSRC.
