Profile
I am a lecturer in anthropology at Universitas Islam Negeri A. M. Sangadji Ambon (UIN Ambon) since 2021 and currently a PhD candidate at the School of Geography, University of Leeds, funded by the Indonesia Endowment Fund for Education (LPDP), Ministry of Finance, Republic of Indonesia. I hold a bachelor’s degree in law from Pattimura University and a master’s degree in Anthropology from Universitas Indonesia (2019).
My research focuses on the relational (re)production of space in everyday life, with particular attention to more-than-human relations and the role of colonial ruins in shaping contemporary socio-ecological landscapes. Through this lens, I aim to contribute to critical geographical and anthropological debates on space, materiality, and postcolonial environments.
I am actively involved in the Center for Island Studies at UIN Ambon, an interdisciplinary research centre dedicated to addressing the complex challenges faced by small island communities. Beyond my institutional role, I am a co-initiator of KORA Maluku, a community-based platform for study, research, and advocacy on socio-ecological issues in Maluku. Within KORA Maluku, my work focuses on documenting Indigenous knowledge and examining its relevance in responding to ongoing socio-ecological crises.
