Profile

I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science at the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh, and a postgraduate researcher at the University of Leeds in the School of Earth, Environment and Sustainability. My academic interests focus on climate change and adaptation, conflict, migration, immobility, and risk resilience.

I completed an MSc in International Relations at the University of Bristol, UK, as a Commonwealth Shared Scholar. I also hold a Master of Social Science and a Bachelor of Social Science in Political Science from the University of Dhaka.

I have teaching experience at the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), and Bangladesh Open University. My academic and professional experience also includes research and development work with Transparency International Bangladesh, WAVE Foundation, and SIRIUS Marketing & Social Research Ltd. My current research explores the links between climate change, migration and conflict, with a particular focus on Bangladesh.
