Profile

I am a PDRA working on the climate impacts of aviation, with a particular focus on the radiative effects of linear contrails. I contribute to the Jet Zero project’s efforts aimed at quantifying and reducing these non-CO₂ impacts of aviation, which represent a significant and still uncertain component of aviation’s overall climate forcing.

My background is in high-resolution numerical modeling of tropical cyclones using the Weather Research and Forecasting (WRF) model, with a focus on cloud–radiative interactions. During my doctoral research, I investigated the role of cloud-radiative forcing in the early stages of tropical cyclone development, examining how radiation associated with deep convection and cloud structures influences the tropical cyclone evolution and intensification. My work integrates atmospheric dynamics, radiative transfer, and cloud physics to better understand the coupling between clouds and circulation across both weather and climate scales.
