“GISc is a dynamic field with applications across various industries. Knowing that the skills I'm acquiring in this program can have a tangible impact on addressing pressing global challenges is incredibly motivating.”

Exciting Endeavours

Peter’s time on the course has allowed him to work on a range of important projects. “I've had the privilege of working on a range of exciting projects during my course, including the sourcing, cleaning, analysis and visualization of big data (e.g. the COVID-19 data in the UK), the development of frontend and back-end web mapping application from scratch as well the development of composite indicators and the practical tasks on business service planning like the location of new retail shops or their merging.

GISc plays a pivotal role in our daily lives, from helping us navigate through cities to supporting disaster response, environmental management, and retail planning to mention a few. As a student in this program, I believe the knowledge and skills I'm gaining are directly contributing to improving the quality of life for individuals and communities within my reach.”
