Profile
I am a PhD Student researching the disposal of cementitious wastes as part of UK nuclear site decommissioning. I look into the behaviour of radionuclides (Tc-99, C-14) interacting with crushed concrete wastes. This research is funded by the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA) through the NDA PhD bursary scheme and is supported by the United Kingdom National Nuclear Laboratory (UKNNL).
I graduated from University of Hull with a BSc (Hons) in Environmental Science in 2024. My dissertation focused on highly alkaline legacy wastes from soda ash production and received the Best Dissertation in Environmental Science Prize 2023/24.
Before starting the PhD, I took on an internship as a Research Assisstant at the University of Hull on the project “StormFlux: Effect of Storm Babet on Pollution Fluxes from Remobilised Mine Wastes”.
