Profile

I completed my BSc in Biomedical Sciences at Keele University in 2022, followed by an MSc in Biomedical Science in 2023 working with head and neck carcinoma cells. In November 2024, I began my PhD in the School of Food Science and Nutrition at the University of Leeds.

My research focuses on the role of endocrine-disrupting chemical, Bisphenol, in the development breast cancerwith the assistance of adipose tissue.

I am dedicated to working in the field of breast cancer prevention and committed to advancing multidisciplinary research that bridges biomedical science and public health.

Research interests

My project is funded by Breast Cancer UK (BCUK) and focuses on investigating how bisphenols accumulate in human adipose tissue and how this accumulation may contribute to the development and progression of breast cancer, particularly in the context of obesity. It aims to explore the molecular and biological mechanisms by which bisphenols, as endocrine-disrupting chemicals, influence breast cancer risk by affecting adipogenesis, and potentially promoting carcinogenic processes in breast tissue. The ultimate goal is to better understand the role of environmental exposures in breast cancer initiation and to contribute knowledge that could support prevention strategies against breast cancer.
