Dr Amy Bennett

Profile

My research investigates how forests endure, adapt, and change in our changing world. Having completed my PhD at the University of Leeds in 2020, my work involves forest monitoring networks, remotely-sensed climate data and spatial statistics to evaluate how carbon sinks respond to extreme climate and disturbance. Grounded by the rigorous effort of ground-based tree measurements, I connect local ecological understanding to macro-scale spatial modelling to evaluate forest resilience.
