Profile
I completed my PhD in Physical Geography at the University of Leeds, titled ‘Assessing the impacts of natural flood management on downstream flood risk.’ I am passionate about applying nature-based solutions and resilient strategies to mitigate natural hazards and risks, particularly flooding. My expertise includes rainfall-runoff model, hydrological modelling, hydrodynamic model, coupling models, and GIS.
Research interests
I am interested in the wide application of nature-based solutions at large scales (catchment, national or worldwide), as well as the secondary benefits and effects of NBS interventions on ecosystems, water quality, and future flood risks under climate change. I am committed to applying my knowledge and skills to contribute to the development of sustainable and resilient solutions to environmental challenges.
I have also facilitated research knowledge translation and communication with both academic and non-academic stakeholders.
