Choosing to study your Masters at Leeds means being taught by experts who share your passion for the subject. We also contribute to a Sustainable Cities MSc, which is taught in partnership with the School of Earth and Environment and the Institute for Transport Studies, a Consumer Analytics Marketing Strategy MSc, which is led by the Business School and a Data Science and Analytics MSc, which is led by the School of Mathematics. You can also study modules from our Geographical Information Science (online) MSc as online short courses enabling you to build up credits over a six-year period and exit with a qualification.
Studying a Masters at Leeds means you’ll join a large and growing postgraduate community in the School of Geography. As a member you’ll be an active participant in the work of the School and contribute to research output through publications and research seminars and discussion groups.

MA or MSc by Research
We also offer an MA or MSc by Research. This is distinct from our taught Masters programmes and involves planning, implementing and writing up a research project. You will be supervised by two members of academic staff and will be encouraged to submit your work for publication at the end of the course.
