Profile
BSc. in Molecular Sciences at the University of São Paulo, an interdisciplinary STEM degree, with a personal emphasis on Urban Analytics and Complex Systems. Included a short research internship at the University of Helsinki’s Digital Geography Lab in March-May 2025.
My teaching experience includes 4 Teaching Assistant positions at my university during undergrad – two in computer science and two in physics – as well as an internship teaching maths at high school level.
Research interests
My current research project is a part of the Healthy and Sustainable Places Data Service, a part of the Smart Data Research UK programme. I came to Leeds through a studentship called “Improving measures of perceived access to local amenities”, where we aim to provide better tools for urban planners to understand individuals’ perception of their ability to access opportunities within cities, mainly through the study of cognitive perceptions of space and distance.
Asides from that, I am also quite interested in complex systems, network science, and how these topics relate to urban mobility in general.
