Four-Year Integrated Masters

study abroad

One of the advantages of studying with us is that all our four-year Integrated Masters courses include a year spent studying abroad at a partner university. This gives you the opportunity to experience a new culture and access a range of different modules. It also counts towards your final degree classification.

Our option offers fantastic value for money, including a year abroad at a much-reduced fee. On returning to Leeds, you will complete your final year of study at Masters level, leading to the award of an enhanced MEnv, MGeol or MGeophys qualification. This is an excellent route for those interested in a career in research, and will also give you the experience valued by employers.

Dependent on which degree you are studying you will have the opportunity to study at a partner institution from the following countries:

MEnv, BSc Environmental Science

Australia, Canada, New Zealand, USA

MEnv, BSc Sustainability and Environmental Management

Australia, Canada, Netherlands, Switzerland (with a language requirement), USA

MGeol, BSc Geology

Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Switzerland (with a language requirement), USA

MGeophys, BSc Geophysics

Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Singapore, USA

Academic staff members and the University’s Study Abroad Office will offer you their guidance and help as you prepare for your year abroad. You also retain the option to change to a three-year programme at any stage during your first two years of study should you decide not to pursue this option.

Studying abroad is popular so places for placement opportunities in some countries might be limited. Destinations may change each year; when you’re ready to apply our Study Abroad team is on hand to help you to research which placement is best suited to you.
