Annual Confluence series of events (virtual): Working together to improve resilience across the Yorkshire and Humber region

Working together to improve resilience across the Yorkshire and Humber is the theme of this year's Confluence series, delivered by the Yorkshire Integrated Catchment Solutions Programme (iCASP).

Partners, academics, stakeholders and those with an interests in catchment management are invited to iCASP’s series of online events, where there will be plenty of opportunities for questions and lively debate.

Guest speakers include some of iCASP’s partners, and the events will take place as follows:

Plenary event 

iCASP’s Plenary event will showcase some of the key projects and the impact they are having in the region. It will include presentations and videos from partners and an opportunity for discussion. 

It will take place on Tuesday 8 June, between 10:00 and 12:45.

Boosting SME flood resilience through collaboration

Findings of the Bridging the Knowledge Gap project will be explored. It aims to boost the resilience of small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs).

Yorkshire Natural Flood Management Community of Practice 

This event will explore how to use our experience and innovation to develop and sustain successful natural flood management (NFM) partnerships. 

It will take place Thursday 10 June, between 10:00 and 13:00. The Community of Practice is an established partnership of NFM practitioners across Yorkshire, funded by the Regional Flood and Coastal Committees (RFCC). If you would like to join the group, please contact icasp@leeds.ac.uk. 

Yorkshire Infrastructure Adaptation Forum

The event will explore questions such as: How can we adapt our infrastructure across the region to become resilient to climate change?

It is hosted as part of a project funded by Research England, and will take place Friday 11 June, between10:00 and 12:00.
