Profile

I am a PhD researcher at the Institute for Climate and Atmospheric Science, within the School of Earth and Environment. I am funded by the Natural Environment Research Council through the SENSE Earth Observation CDT. I primarily carry out my research at the British Antarctic Survey in Cambridge.

My research aims to improve our understanding of the role channelized basal melting plays in the structural integrity of ice shelves. The links between channel geometry and large scale ice shelf melting will be investigated by looking at how channels develop and move through both time and space across an ice shelf. My research utilises satellite observations from both CryoSat-2 and IceSat-2, as well as some in-situ measurements of the ice and ocean.
