Profile

I’m a doctoral researcher based at the Sustainability Research Institute. My research looks at the experiences of outdoor natural spaces for people who have been marginalised within society, exploring the aids and constraints to them benefitting from urban and public greenspaces.

My doctoral research will use geographical mapping, policy discourse analysis and interview data to explore the experiences of greenspace for asylum seekers and refugees in Leeds. Where possible, I am particularly interested in engaging with participants and communities in order to produce more directly impactful research action outputs.

All of my reseach is funded by the ESRC via the White Rose Social Sciences Doctoral Training Partnership.
