- Thesis title: Experiences of greenspace for asylum-seekers and refugees in Leeds
Profile
I am a PhD student based at the Sustainability Research Institute. My research looks at the experiences of outdoor natural spaces for people who have been marginalised within society, exploring the aids and constraints to them benefitting from urban and public greenspaces.
My doctoral research will use geographical mapping, policy discourse analysis and interview data to explore the experiences of greenspace for asylum seekers and refugees in Leeds. I am particularly interested in using participatory methods to co-produce more directly impactful research action outputs.
