- Supervisors: Professor Andy Challinor, Dr Chetan Deva
Profile
I am a PhD researcher in the Climate Impacts Group in the Institute for Climate and Atmospheric Science at Leeds. My research uses machine learning to understand the link between weather/climate and crop growth and development. I am particularly interested in the ways data-based methods can complement existing scientific approaches.
I have affiliations to several cross-faculty groups. I am currently postgraduate representative for the global food and environment institute; co-convenor of a multi-university postgraduate network around food, development and society, and treasurer for the SciML (scientific machine learning) group here at Leeds.
I am always keen to engage with other researchers - either for learning new ideas to put into my own work, or to think about how I can adapt my work to broader social contexts. Please get in touch!
