Profile
Ruth Jihyung Joo is a PhD student at Sustainability Research Institute, studying carbon markets and their international linkages. She studies how carbon markets are institutionalized in the EU and South Korea, and analyzes the institutional change and future prospects for linkages. She previously worked as a researcher at Emissions Trading Scheme (ETS) Taskforce team of Ministry of Environment of Korea participating in the policy design to prepare the national allocation plan and guidelines to implement Korea’s ETS from 2015. She also worked as a project manager for ASEM (Asia-Europe Meeting) Eco-Innovation Index research, which develops a tool to quantitatively and qualitatively evaluate eco-innovation policies and practices in 41 Asia-Europe countries.
