- Thesis title: Autogenic versus allogenic controls on deep-sea channel evolution.
Profile
The extent to which different boundary conditions control the architecture of deep-water sedimentary bodies, and at which scales, is disputed. Focusing on submarine channels, this project uses metadata analysis to explore general similarities and trends in sedimentation between different systems in order to determine which factors have the greatest influence on stacking patterns observed in channels.
This project is funded by the Turbidites Research Group (TRG), University of Leeds, with CASE support from PDS Group.
