Profile
With a background in applied geology (BS, MPhil), I am currently a PhD researcher within the Basin Structure Group (BSG) and Shallow-Marine Research Group (SMRG) at the Institute of Applied Geoscience (IAG), School of Earth and Environment (SEE). My research forms part of the Deep-Rift project, based at the University of Bergen, Norway, which focuses on integrating outcrop and marine geophysical data from the Corinth Rift (Greece) in collaboration with the International Ocean Discovery Program (IODP) Expedition 381.
Research interests
My research focuses on sedimentology, structural geology, and stratigraphic analysis, with expertise in high-resolution 3D digital outcrop modelling. I integrate field-based sedimentary logging, facies analysis, and chronostratigraphic data to reconstruct depositional environments, correlate onshore and offshore records, and refine basin-scale age models. This work supports applications in hydrocarbon exploration, carbon capture and storage (CCS), and emerging energy transition initiatives such as hydrogen storage.
