Profile

I am a PhD student in the School of Earth and Environment interested in understanding the interactions between the climate, ice sheets and oceans to help improve projections of future climate change. My PhD project aims to understand the evolution of ice sheets and climate during the Penultimate Deglaciation and Last Interglacial using a coupled climate-ice sheet model (FAMOUS-ice) coupled with novel artificial intelligence methods. This work will contribute towards the SMB-Gen project to constrain projections of ice sheet instabilities and future sea level rise.

I have previously completed an Integrated Masters of Environmental Science here at Leeds and worked with Dr Steve Arnold during my masters dissertation to model source contributions to Arctic air pollution over time. This project introduced me to numerical modelling and I am looking forward to applying these skills to help understand the interactions between climate and ice sheets and their contribution to sea level rise.
