Dr Rebecca Sarku

Profile

I am a dedicated researcher committed to addressing poverty, food insecurity, and environmental challenges. My goal is to deliver innovative, multidisciplinary, and result-oriented solutions in complex and marginalized communities. With over 10 years of experience in academia and international organisations, I possess excellent skills in strategic and creative thinking, research, program design and management, stakeholder engagement, and policy analysis.

I earned her PhD degree from Wageningen University and have been a DAAD Climap Africa Postdoctoral Research Fellow as well as an Alexander von Humboldt/Bayer Postdoctoral Research Fellow. Currently, my research focuses on the CGIAR’s Climate Resilience (ClimBeR initiative) and iSPARK projects in Kenya and Zambia. Additionally, I analyse the politics on Agriculture and Food Security in the UNFCCC system.
