Regional Development Agency
In 1998 worked with the Regional Development Agency (Yorkshire Forward) to develop a programme of learning and assessment to build the capacity of publicly funded business support on environmental and resource efficiency issues.
Department of Trade and Industry Small Business Service
Between 2001 and 2007 provided on-going advice and consultancy services to the DTIs Small Business Services on matters related to supporting business support professionals working under the Business Links brand. Acted as the adviser on all matters relating to adviser development, standards and assessment to the Business Link University BLU
Learning and Skills Council
Between 2003 and 2005 acted as consultant to the Learning and Skills Council in North Yorkshire on introducing business support standards to providers of business support services within the further education and private training provider sectors
Chartered Management Institute
Between 1998 and 2001 developed the tender and succeeded in the bid for the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) to create a standard and accreditation system known as Technology Means Business (TMB), an accreditation for business support professionals providing ICT advice to small and medium enterprises. Project managed a 2m budget to implement the standard in the private ICT sector.
University of Oxford
Between 1993 and 1998 acted as the principal consultant to enable the University of Oxford to become established as the first University body to be approved as an Awarding Body to accredit management vocational qualifications based on management occupational standards. Held the positions of Chief Verifier and Overseas Verifier for the University
