Dr Hailin Yang

Profile

I am a Visiting Research Fellow at University of Leeds. I also working at Peking University as a Research Assistant Professor. I am a geochemist that works on elemental change in sediments and soils. My work combines field studies, analytical chemistry, and isotope systems.

Research interests

I have worked extensively on environmental and marine chemistry, particularly on changes in iron speciation. My current projects focus on elements in gas hydrate-bearing sediments, tracking how mineral characteristics have changed through time, and on the potential for carbon sink in both modern and ancient settings.
