Research interests
I am part of a team working on creating a virtual training environment for field mapping. Find out more details about the Virtual Landscapes project and explore our landscapes. The project won the Times Higher Education Award for Outstanding Digital Innovation in Teaching or Research 2016.
I jointly held a LITE Excellence and Innovation Fellowship 2017/18 with Jacqueline Houghton and Graham McLeod - "Investigating the impact of screen-based virtual reality environments on students’ spatial thinking skills". This is based on work we are doing as part of the Virtual Landscapes project.
I am part of a team from the University of Leeds, Open University and University of Plymouth, who are working on a project on "Embedding and sustaining inclusive STEM practices" as part of the HEFCE Catalyst Programme: Addressing barriers to student success. As part of this the team from the University of Leeds led the Access Anglesey field trip in September 2018.
