Margo Hanson

Profile

As Research Manager: Energy, Climate Change and Sustainability, Margo leads a small team which provides research support to the Sustainability Research Institute’s portfolio of energy and climate change related centres and projects. including the ESRC Centre for Climate Change Economics and Policy (CCCEP). She is also Secretariat Coordinator of Leeds Climate Commission.

Background and Interests

After completing her Geography degree, Margo taught English in Japan before spending several years working in social housing. Since 1997, she has worked in a variety of university administrative roles including Projects Officer for the University of Leeds City and Regional Office and International Officer at the University of York.

Margo has a long standing interest in environmental issues, sustainability and social justice and is a keen hiker and cyclist.
