Jody Harris

I joined the the School of Earth and Environment in 2014 and am involved in teaching across a number of modules on the MSc Sustainability and Consultancy programme.

Prior to joining the School of Earth and Environment I spent 10 years working in the field of sustainability and environmental management in the public and private sectors. As a sustainability consultant at Arup, I provided consultancy services in the areas of sustainability strategy development, sustainability appraisal, environmental assessment, and carbon footprinting to UK and international clients. My project work spanned the public and private sectors and included commissions in the utilities, manufacturing, transport, housing, and construction sectors. I also worked at the UK Environment Agency managing the Environmental Impact Assessment process for nationally significant flood risk management projects.

I teach on MSc modules looking at environmental policy and regulation, project management in practice, and delivering sustainability on projects and in organisations.  I also teach undergraduate modules the topics of environmental Impact Assessment.

I am also involved in the delivery of the ‘Sustainability Consultancy Project' within the MSc Sustainability & Consultancy programme.  This involves maintaining connections with an extensive network of industry partners and supporting students to deliver consultancy projects with host organisations.

I supervise MSc students undertaking their consultancy project and act as a personal tutor for students on the MSc Sustainability & Consultancy programme.
