Profile
I started as a Research Fellow in Numerical Simulation of Planetary Magnetic Fields at Leeds in 2024. Prior to this I was a Postdoctoral Researcher on ERC GRACEFUL Grant at ISTerre (Université Grenoble Alpes) and CNES. I have a PhD in Geology and Geophysics where my thesis was titled ‘Improving Inversions of Regional Outer Core Surface Flow Models through the Application of Spherical Slepian Functions’ and an MScR GeoSciences Individual Project titled ‘Application of Spherical Slepian Functions to Outer Core Flow Modelling’ which I completed at the University of Edinburgh. I graduated with a 2:1 BSc (Hons) in Geophysics with Geology from Durham University in 2016.
I am active in education and outreach and am Chair of IAGA Communication and Networking Working Group, working on documentaries, videos for children and short scientific films. I am Associate Fellow of Higher Education Academy; Tutor and demonstrator at University of Edinburgh.
I have undertaken industry placements at Orbital Micro Systems and Space Intelligence Ltd
