Research interests
I undertake research on the paleoenvironmental records preserved in the caves of northern England. I have also become particularly interested in trying to understand young peoples views on environemntal issues, especially around resource usage and responsibility.

Student education
I teach on geological and environmental courses with an emphasis on first year modules and enabling the transition to University learning. I also have a large fieldwork teaching commitment and supervise undergraduate dissertation projects across the school and faculty.
