Profile

I am a geomorphologist and sedimentologist specialising in using the latest numerical modelling approaches (e.g., Cellular Automation, forward stratigraphic) to understand earth surface dynamics and subsurface sedimentary architecture, especially in fluvial and aeolian environments. I obtained a BSc in Soil and Water Conservation & Combating Desertification from Beijing Forestry University (2007), an MSc in Physical Geography from Bejing Normal University (except for the National Graduate Admission Examination with a fully funded scholarship, 2010), and PhD in Earth & Environmental Dynamics from King’s College London (supported by Graduate School Studentship and King’s Overseas Research Studentship, 2015). Since then, I have been working as a research fellow at the School of Earth and Environment, University of Leeds. I have also been working as a teaching fellow in Computational Human Geography since 2023.
