Dr Jennifer Saxby

Profile

My research at Leeds consists of evaluating the ability of a high-resolution air-sea coupled model to forecast the evolution of monsoon depressions and tropical cyclones in the Bay of Bengal, and analysing the structure of these systems as they make landfall over India.

Research interests

My research interests include tropical meteorology, weather model simulations, and atmospheric dispersion modelling. My background is in geology, geophysics and volcanology. My PhD research focused on assessing the impact of the physical properties of the particles on a volcanic ash dispersion model.
