Dr Anne Owen

I joined the University of Leeds in 2011 as a Research Associate while I was working part-time on my PhD. By 2016 I had completed my PhD studies and was working as a post-doctoral researcher on consumption-based accounting projects.

In 2022 I was promoted to Assoicate Professor

  • Acting Programme Leader MSc Ecological Economics

Research interests

I am an expert in consumption-based approaches and calculate the UK’s Carbon Footprint for UK Government each year.

I am interested in the role that households play in the UK’s environmental impact and what role they could have in reducing this impact in time.
