Profile

I am a research fellow in the School of Earth and Environment. My research is focus on Arctic atmosphere and wildfire. I will employ regional modelling analyses and use machine learning to understand the drivers of high-latitude fires, generate projections of future fire scenarios across various warming pathways, and evaluate the relative contributions of emission sources and chemical processes to regional air pollution under Arctic conditions. Before this, I worked on SOC project focusing on impacts of Dimethylsulphate (DMS) on clouds in the Antarctic. My PhD research focused on the impacts of biogenic volatile organic compounds (BVOCs) on ozone.

Research interests

  • Arctic and Antarctic atmosphere and wildfire
  • Ozone pollution
  • Air quality modeling
  • Biogenic volatile organic compounds (BVOCs)
  • Secondary organic aerosol (SOA)

Qualifications

  • 2018 - 2024: PhD in Atmospheric Sciences, Nanjing University
  • 2014 - 2018: BSc in Applied Meteorology, Sun Yat-sen University
