Profile
I am a Research Fellow at the Institute for Transport Studies (ITS), University of Leeds, United Kingdom, where I bring my expertise in ecological modelling and climate-change impact assessment to interdisciplinary research at the intersection of transport, energy, and environmental health. Currently, I am working with Professor Zia Wadud on a pioneering project that develops predictive models.
Concurrently, I serve as Associate Professor in the Department of Environment, Faculty of Natural Resources and Environment, Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, Iran, a position I have held since 2019. I was Assistant Professor 2014–2019. I completed my PhD (GPA 18.44/20, 2010–2014) degrees in Natural Resources Engineering–Environmental Science from the University of Tehran under the supervision of Prof. Mohammad Kaboli.
I have authored or co-authored more than 35 ISI-indexed articles in Q1/Q2 journals such as Global Ecology and Conservation, Journal for Nature Conservation, and European Journal of Wildlife Research, and contributed a book chapter on ecological modelling to Springer Nature (2023).
Through sustained collaborations with the University of Oxford, University of Twente, University of Campinas (Brazil), and the Canadian Museum of Nature, I have advanced innovative spatial frameworks for conservation planning. I serve as Subject Editor for Nature Conservation (IF 2.43), Editor-in-Chief of Scientific Reports in Life Sciences, and reviewer for over 30 international journals.
