Profile

I obtained my PhD in Chemical, Geological, and Environmental Sciences at the University of Milano-Bicocca (Milan, Italy). My thesis in structural geology focused on brittle deformation and fluid-rock interaction within complex fault systems of the central Southern Alps (N Italy).

Research interests

My research focuses on the interaction between faulting and fluid flow, investigating the mechanics of brittle deformation in the upper crust. I am interested in how fracture networks and fault zones evolve through complex fluid-rock interactions, using geochemical signatures to decode the thermal and chemical history of these systems. My current work combines field observations with rock-mechanics laboratory experiments to investigate sub-critical fracturing.
