Profile

I earned B.Sc in Health Nutrition at Universitas Gadjah Mada in 2010 and Master in Public Health (MPH) at the same University in November 2015. In MPH program, my study was focused on Dietetic Administration. My academic journey as a teacher, however, has shown me evidence of the importance of adopting technology in my classroom, and thus, it is essential to put nutrition science into a digital paradigm. I find myself consistently engaged with the intersection of Nutrition Theory and Technology since I found many nutrition apps flourish outside of my country several years ago. I find it fascinating to watch how the digital revolution reshapes society at a never-before-seen pace; there is still so much to learn.

Nutrition informatics is a topic that particularly interests me, stemming from my studies and a keen interest in nutrition. It amazes me that technology has progressed to the point where we are employing computers to solve issues. I am excited to be a member of the future generation of informatics and nutrition scientists, bringing a fresh perspective to the table while expanding on the work of the great brains of today.

I did not begin to pursue my interest until I was given a significant chance to build and research a web-based nutrition counseling service in 2017, which resulted in a huge shift in my life trajectory. I have been prototyping nutrition applications and conducting various forms of research on them for the past year. I have published research articles not just in national publications but also in reputable international journals. In addition, I hold six intellectual property rights related to my research products, such as: the designs of AhliGiziID, Dietducate, Nilaigizi.com, Dietducate's Automated Meal Planner, Kickstunting, and Hospimeal.

In Addition, I actively participated in a number of prestigious nutrition events, including seminars, congresses, and conferences, as well as becoming a speaker (oral and poster). The 12th and 13th Asian Congress of Nutrition (ACN), the International Conference on Health and Well-Being (ICHWB), and the 1st-3rd International Conference on Food and Agriculture (ICoFA) are some of the events I attended. In the end, I was awarded the DuPont Nutrition and Health Competitive Grant for Young Nutrition Leaders in 2019. It is with gratitude that I have always looked toward the esteemed School of Food Science and Nutrition at The University of Leeds as a source of inspiration throughout my undergraduate and graduate education.
