Profile
I am currently in the final year of my PhD at the School of Food Science and Nutrition, University of Leeds, supported by a scholarship from the College of Applied Medical Sciences, King Saud University, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. My research explores the dietary resemblance between parents and their primary school-age children through a mixed-methods approach. This includes a secondary data analysis of the UK National Diet and Nutrition Survey (NDNS) to examine similarities in dietary intake among parent-child dyads, focus group discussions with parents and children on influences on children’s food choice and similarities to parents’ dietary intake, and an evaluation of UK online healthy eating resources targeting parents and children.
