We offer a number of scholarship opportunities to support and reward students from around the world. If you are a UK or EU student you may be able to receive a government postgraduate loan.

2019-20

This bursary will be automatically awarded to you if you’re a former student of the University of Leeds studying for a postgraduate qualification in the Faculty of Environment. Courses that are run in conjunction with other universities are excluded from the Bursary.

  • Value - what money is on offer

    The University will pay 10% of the self-funded portion of your fees for each year of the course. If no fees are paid then no bursary is awarded.

Postgraduate scholarships are available to candidates from most developing Commonwealth countries.

  • How to apply

You can apply for this scholarship if you’re an international fee rated applicant who has been offered a place on any Masters degree course within the School of Geography (except MSc in Consumer Analytics and Marketing Strategy, MSc in GIS via Online Distance Learning and MSc Sustainable Cities). You must demonstrate the academic criteria listed below and not be in receipt of any other School of Geography award.

  • Who is eligible

    To apply for this scholarships you must be able to demonstrates academic excellence (2.1+ or equivalent), professional experience and/or voluntary experience.

These awards are available to international students who wish to undertake taught postgraduate study in 2019/20.

  • Value - what money is on offer

    These awards will contribute up to £22,000 towards academic fees for candidates liable to pay fees at the full-cost rate for international students.

  • Who is eligible

    They are available to new taught postgraduates only and are available for one year only.
