Dr Manon Prédhumeau

Since September 2023, I work as a Lecturer at Grenoble Alps University, in France. I am also a Visiting Research Fellow at the School of Geography, University of Leeds, UK, after working in Leeds for a year and a half (March 2022-August 2023) as a Research Fellow. As part of the RAIM project (Responsible Automation for Inclusive Mobility), I worked on modelling and simulating the mobility needs of the ageing population in the UK and Canada, in order to identify the needs for demand-responsive autonomous transportation.

I received the M.S. degree in computer science from Clermont Auvergne University, France, and an engineer degree in computer science from ISIMA, Clermont-Ferrand, France, in 2017. From 2017 to 2018, I have been a Software Engineer with the INRAE IT System Department. From 2018 to 2021, I completed my PhD in Computer Science at Grenoble Alps University, France. I was part of the STeamer research team in Grenoble Informatics Laboratory. I worked on modelling and simulating realistic pedestrian behaviours in shared spaces with autonomous vehicles, with Julie Dugdale and Anne Spalanzani, as part of the HIANIC project. My thesis received the Academic Thesis Award 2022 from Grenoble Alps University for the field "Mathematics, Information and Communication Sciences".

My research interest includes agent-based modelling and simulation of human behaviour, applied to urban mobility and future transportation.
