Profile
I am a research fellow currently working on the FLOODMAL project with Mark Smith, an interdisciplinary project lead by Aberystwyth University which is investigating and modelling the link between large scale flood events and the development and movement of mosquito populations. Working with partners from the Zambian Ecohealth Partnership, our work will provide a detailed understanding of key hydrological processes of the Barotse Floodplain. I have previously worked for consultancy companies, working on flood risk analysis and modelling problems
Research interests
My research interests lie in the development of hydrodynamic models to improve representation of key physical processes, including investigating model uncertainties and methods for reducing it. I am also interested in the application of hydrodynamic models to studying the impact of extreme events on analysis of risk and geomorphological impacts.
