- Thesis title: How stable is the Greenland ice sheet? A view from the past
- Supervisors: Dr Lauren Gregoire, Dr Ruza Ivanovic, Prof Xavier Fettweis, Dr Stephan Cornford
Profile
I am a first year PhD student in the Institute for Climate and Atmospheric Science focusing on modelling the Greenland ice sheet during past interglacials. My PhD scholarship is part of the project VERIFY team which has a vision to observe and understand tipping events (with a focus on the Greenland Ice Sheet and the Subpolar Gyre). Funded by ARIA I am part of a broader forecasting tipping points programme which seeks to build an early warning system.
Previously I have completed a Masters at the University of Sheffield where my research focused on understanding the spatiotemporal dynamics of extreme climate events in Chile using reanalysis climate data, whilst my undergraduate dissertation research investigated the surface mass balance of the Greenland Ice Sheet from 1800-2023 at the University of Lincoln.
