Communities Innovating Yorkshire fund launched
A key element of the Yorkshire Policy Innovation Partnership (YPIP) project is an £800,000 funding pot to support new approaches for sustainable, community-led policies.
The Communities Innovating Yorkshire (CIY) fund will support research about inclusive growth, sustainable living and greener economies, where communities in their places are at the heart of decision-making.
Applicants must address one of the five YPIP project themes:
- Collecting and Utilising Community Data
- Good Work and Better Business
- Culture and the Creative Industry
- Climate-Ready Places
- Communities In Their Places.
The fund is open to applicants in Yorkshire and the Humber within the four Mayoral Combined authority areas of York and North Yorkshire, Hull and East Riding, South and West Yorkshire.
The fund has two pathways – seed corn projects can apply for up to £10k and larger projects can apply for up to £50k.
YPIP will host information webinars during the application period.
Applications close at 23:59 on Sunday 23 March 2025.
Visit the CIY fund webpage for more information and to apply.
